Soak up the artistic atmosphere of Le Cannet while enjoying the surrounding countryside.
You’ll discover the southern light that has shaped our artist.
Along the way, you’ll come across various leprechauns who will help you compare the landscape of today with that of Bonnard’s time. You’ll discover breathtaking panoramas of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding hills.
Walk along the Siagne Canal (covered)
How about a little height?
Discover the Canal de la Siagne (covered), a pleasant 1 hour walk that will take you to the heights of Le Cannet.
From the rue des Prés (near the Hôtel de Ville), first join the Vieux-Cannet and the rue Saint-Sauveur. From there, take the traverse Saint-Antoine, and follow the path. Although the climb can be a little steep at times, note that there is shade for most of the way and several watering holes for refreshment.
After the effort, the comfort… At the end of this climb, you won’t be disappointed that you were brave enough to do it! You’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking view, particularly from the Chichourliers belvedere. A panorama of the Grande Bleue, the Lérins Islands and the Esterel Massif. As you make your way back down to Place Leclerc, you’ll admire the magnificent Belle Epoque villas that complete your tour.
Walking trail in Vieux-Cannet
From the rue Cavasse to the rue Saint-Sauveur, around the bend of an alleyway or a little square, discover Vieux-Cannet! It’s a charming village with an authentic feel and a rich cultural, historical and artistic heritage.
A magnificent viewpoint awaits you on Place Bellevue, where you can even sip a cocktail with a sea view.
