Fresco Street Art Pierre Bonnard – Parking Saint-Sauveur

This second mural by Big Ben; a Lyon-based artist specializing in spray-painted street art; was created in 2017 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of painter Pierre Bonnard. It depicts him in the last years of his life.

He is seated here, accompanied by his cat, Poucette, and his dog, Ubu.
There’s also a trompe-l’œil effect with Ubu’s head. In fact, his head is painted in such a way that it moves depending on where you are. This fresco was inspired by a real photo of the painter in his garden.

You can admire this magnificent fresco at the entrance to the Saint-Sauveur parking lot.
