Canet Crèches Provençales

This interior architect and designer, with a degree in
philosophy and theology, is steeped in Provençal
traditions.

A fan of santon fairs, he couldn’t find any plant decorations to his taste and decided to buy clay to make them himself. A passion was born, and with it a profession: he would become a créchiste.
Unlike the santonnier, who makes the figures, this master
créchiste makes the decorations and accessories for the crib.
And it’s the decorations that most personalize a crib, especially when they’re as original and finely crafted as Nicolas Canet’s.
French gardens, reflecting basins, cottage ruins, Aix-en-Provence follies and village house facades, you’ll find everything you need to make your crib unique. Rue Saint-Sauveur, with its many artisans and craftsmen, was the perfect place for this Cannettan
